This year you can either choose a new prompt, OR, if you didn't finish your fic from last year and you still *want* to finish it, you can choose to finish your original fic. (Wait until the claims post to declare yourself. Don't do it here, please. This post is only for prompts.)
Call for Prompts!
1. Anyone will be allowed to submit prompts. Even if you’re not a writer or don’t plan on writing.
2. Prompts must be more than one word. Traditional apocafic prompts are welcome, as well as those that put a different spin on things. Try and get creative. You can use specific scenarios, a series of words, lyrics (try to keep these down to a few lines), quotes, pictures (no non-worksafe pics please!), episodes, etc…
3. You CAN require specific pairings for your prompts. You cannot specify ‘het only’ or ‘slash only’, although you can specify ‘Gen’(for this purpose 'Gen' will mean no romance) or ‘Team’ or 'Any'. We all have those prompts that we really want to see written for our OTP. (If you want friendship rather than blatant ship and really want to make sure of it, you can add the word 'friendship' to the pairing.)
4. You can also submit general prompts that can be written with any pairing or any way the author sees fit.
5. Please submit multiple prompts. And please submit both pairing specific prompts and general prompts that can be written by anyone for any or no pairing. That way we’ll have a big variety and, hopefully, everybody will be happy.
6. I reserve the right to throw out prompts that are only one word, that are repeats of another prompt (unless they’re a different pairing) or that are graphic and intense. (You really have to submit something pretty sick to gross me out, so I don’t foresee this as a problem. It’s really more of a ‘don’t post pics of entrails’ type of thing.)
TL&DR:
Specify pairing OR character OR 'gen' OR 'team' (you can combine pairing information with 'gen' in order to request friendship fic)
And then give the prompt.
Example:
1- Sam/Daniel. Caught off-world during a nuclear accident and the planet’s gate and civilization is destroyed.
2- Jack/Daniel. Summer, seashore, warm winds, swimming.
3- Team. (code for picture)
4. Sam/Jack, Gen. “Twinkle, twinkle, little star. How I wonder what you are.” (by artist)
If you list a prompt without a qualifier (pairing/character/gen/any), then it will automatically go into the 'ANY' category.
Prompts will be taken through July 30. Prompts posted August 1. Fic due, at latest, by September 30.
