So, the initial claim period has ended. This does not mean you're too late to write. Anyone can pick a prompt and write a story at any time, between now and the end of the ficathon, so long as they finish their story by the deadline. (Stories should be posted between September 20 and 30. I'll let you know when it's getting close. ;P)

What this means is that anyone who has claimed a prompt can now exchange that prompt for a new one anytime they wish. If you get stuck.

To exchange a prompt, reply to the original prompts post. Give me your current prompt and the one you wish to have instead and I'll switch them for you.

If you decide you're not going to finish your story or don't want to write at all, then you can reply at the original prompts post or here or to the main rules post and let me know. You can also turn over your soul-bit at that time. ;)
