Call for Prompts!

1. Anyone is allowed to submit prompts. Even if you’re not a writer or don’t plan on writing.
2. Prompts must be more than one word. Traditional apocafic prompts are welcome, as well as those that put a different spin on things. Try and get creative. You can use specific scenarios, a series of words, lyrics (try to keep these down to a few lines), quotes, pictures (no NSFW pics please!), etc.
3. You CAN require specific pairings for your prompts. You cannot specify ‘het only’ or ‘slash only’, although you can specify ‘gen’ (for this purpose 'gen' will mean no sex or romance) or ‘team’ or 'any'. You can also combine character requests with 'gen' if you like.
4. When submitting prompts for individual characters, please indicate if you want the prompt written as gen or any pairing. If you don't indicate, I'll assume you intend the prompt to be gen.
5. Please submit multiple prompts. And please submit both pairing specific prompts and general prompts that can be written by anyone for any or no pairing. That way we’ll have a big variety and, hopefully, everybody will be happy.
6. I reserve the right to throw out prompts that are only one word, that are repeats of another prompt (unless they’re a different pairing) or that are graphic and intense. (You really have to submit something pretty sick to gross me out, so I don’t foresee this as a problem. It’s really more of a ‘don’t post pics of entrails’ type of thing.)
7. Each person may submit up to four unclaimed prompts from previous rounds that they'd really like to see written. Please indicate which are the recycled prompts. You can find older prompts here.

TL&DR:
Specify pairing OR character OR 'gen' OR 'team' OR 'any' (you can combine pairing information with 'gen' in order to request friendship fic). And then give the prompt.

Examples:

Greer & Young, gen. They've been through a lot together, but nothing like this.

Sheppard/Mitchell. "Do you ever wonder/about the last thing you'll do/the thing you won't get to think about, go over and over/until it's worn to a shine or spent" - Bob Hicok.

Carter, any. Blowing up a sun isn't the only way to destroy a world.

Cadman/Keller. Gunpowder and rust.

Any. They should have known it was only a matter of time.

If you list a prompt without a qualifier (pairing/character/gen/any), then it will automatically go into the 'ANY' category.

Prompts will be taken through August 11th. Prompts will be posted August 12th. Fic is due, at the latest, by October 15th.

FYI: While you're certainly welcome to leave multiple comments as you think of more prompts, you're also welcome to leave multiple prompts in the same comment, as long as they're on different lines (with maybe an extra space in between if they run for more than one line).

Sheppard/McKay. A giant spaceship enters Earth's orbit and begins a terraforming process, which destroys everything in its wake. When Rodney finds a way to board the ship, John is sent to accompany him.

Sheppard/McKay. Humans are at war with robots. John leads (part of) the human resistance.They key to saving mankind might lie in the man who made the robots intelligent in the first place: Rodney McKay.

Any SG1 characters: A virus that turns people into zombies, or something very close to zombies, is picked up off world and spreads out of the mountain before they catch it. Team is caught off base and must try and get back there with a zombified SGC member so the med team can find a cure.


Any Atlantis members: Atlantis comes home to a devastated Earth.

Elizabeth/Teyla - Cutting off a dying Earth is like cutting off a limb.

OT4 - They never got off the Daedalus before it jumped to another dimension. When they jump this time, there may not be another dimension to jump into.

Anyone. The Goa'uld (or Ori, or new bad guy) suceeded before the SGC was ever formed. Team have to find a way to survive the new world.

Anubis, any, SG-1 returned too late to stop Anubis when he attacked Earth. Now SG-1 - with O'Neill in stasis - are all that remains of Earth's defences.

Apophis, any, Apophis and Klorel succeed in their attack on Earth, since no one listens to what Daniel tells them he experienced in another reality

Apophis, any, SG-1 and the Tok'ra were too late to sabotage Apophis's alliance with Heru'ur, and now the two Goa'uld are the most powerful force in the Galaxy. They are intent on destroying their enemies, the Tok'ra and the Tau'ri.

Amaunet, any, after Teal'c had shot Amaunet, more of Heru'ur's forces arrived in time to take Amaunet's body and put it in a sarcophagus. Now she has sworn revenge on the Tau'ri for what they did to Apophis and herself. With Heru'ur's forces she leads a devastating attack on Earth

Mini!Sam/mini!Jack, something about them being clones made them immune to the plague.

Sam|Anise, not even their combined brilliance could save their respective people.

Sam|Anise, Sam agreed to become Anise's new host in desperation, and in the process finally understood why the Tok'ra chose to find volunteers among those who wanted revenge.

Sam|Jolinar/Jack|Kanan, Anise/Freya, how did it come to this?

Sam|Jolinar, they had to get off this planet.

Sha're|Egeria/Daniel(|Tok'ra of your choice), Egeria had grossly miscalculated and now both of their peoples were gone.

Sheppard, Carter, McKay, they were desperatly trying to find their siblings.

Sheppard, Ronon, Teal'c, Vala, Jonas, their respective homeworlds had been destroyed, and they were stuck in the void between two galaxies in a Jumper that wouldn't respond.

Sheppard, Wraith-of-your-choice, they killed everyone in the City but they kept the great John Sheppard as a trophy to show their supremacy.

Sheppard|Anise, she found Atlantis' "voice" disturbing.

Vala, Earth was being evacuated and she was still debating over which part of her 'fight or flight' reflex she should listen to.
